Full of supplies for Project RAUX Box!
I ordered a lot because I did a big re-stock of things I had run out of or lost/threw out in moves. Gonna get the iron out in a little bit.

fun! I just got a bag full of stepper drivers myself... frankly it’s more than I need, but they’re cheap and I never know how many I’m going to blow up with experimentation ;)
now if I could only figure out why that one while loop is exiting without meeting the condition...

So... What exactly is this project? Something to do with the Volvo audio, right?

Yeah, I made a looong introductory post last Saturday:

Yeah I always order a few more of any component I need, on the assumptions that I’ll screw some of them up, or have already screwed the planning up.

I understoo d parts of that.
Not many, but a few!
I probably would have gone the aftermarket head unit/accessories route. I think that will be my first mod for any car I’m planning on keeping long-term...

Yes, the aftermarket is what sane people should use. For people like me, we have our own markets! The problem with the aftermarket, here, too, is that almost nobody makes double-DINs for my car, due to the strong and weird integration between the stereo system and the A/C controls (it shows the temps for the dual-zone climate), and the ones that are out there are mad expensive.
Though honestly, I might end up swapping out the amp and speakers, too. I couldn’t hear one of my favorite Chic basslines the other day

Haha I respect your choice. Now I want to see you build a sound system literally from the ground up. Mine the metal for the speaker m agnets, make molds for the speaker mounting rings, extrude your own wire, build a head unit around a raspberry pi, e tc.
Add a 1/4 output so you can have a passenger ride along while playing an actual bass
